Bio

Carl Garmann Clausen is a partner in Ræder Bing’s Corporate / M&A team. He is admitted to the Bar both in Norway and in the State of New York, USA. A considerable part of Carl’s work is internationally focused (cross-border M&A transactions) but his expertise also includes domestic corporate and securities law. Carl regularly handles complex contracts in accordance with English/American standards, assignments relating to M&A, stock exchange and securities, as well as banking and finance issues. On the strength of Carl’s admission to the New York Bar, Ræder has been appointed sponsor on the OTC QX, the premium market on OTC Markets in New York City. He represents various technology companies, also in respect of their vendor and customer contracts. He has extensive experience with sale and purchase of technology businesses, both asset sales and stock sales. He advises both small and medium-sized companies and publicly listed companies and has extensive experience with sale and purchase of businesses, equity transactions and stock-exchange introductions. Having worked with various technology companies has given Carl in-depth knowledge on the protection of intellectual property rights. Carl has an international profile. He has practiced as an attorney in New York City, specializing in US legal relations, with emphasis on Corporate, Trusts & Estates and Environmental Law. He regulary assists European clients in establishing and investing in the USA. Carl is also a recognized attorney within the Commercial, Corporate and M&A field in the Legal 500. Carl regularly holds seminars for board members in stock exchange listed companies on Norwegian securities laws and continuing obligations for stock exchange listed companies.
