Partner
and access,
Arthur Davis has a unique blend of legal, tax and accounting skills. He specialises in public and private mergers and acquisitions transactions and capital raising. He advises local and foreign groups in a wide variety of transactions which encompass the full ‘life cycle’ of their business activities; from advising on tax effective structure on start up or entry into Australia, through contract negotiations, raising capital, succession planning and ultimately to designing and implementing an exit strategy. Arthur’s clients rely on him and he works hard to understand their business. In advising on transactions Arthur draws on the skills he developed in his career at an international accounting firm. His advice does not just have to be right – it has to be useful. As part of advising on cross-border transactions Arthur has provided extensive advice in relation to employee incentive plans particularly for Australian subsidiaries of European and North American groups. He is an active participant in the International Bar Association, particularly the Closely Held and Growing Business Enterprise and Securities Law Committees. He is currently an Officer of the Securities Law Committee.
