Scott Wasserman is Co-Deputy Chair of Akerman’s Corporate Practice Group and Chair of its Automotive Retail Practice. With vast experience in a range of corporate and M&A matters, Scott structures and negotiates complex business transactions, including M&A, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, venture and growth capital investments, debt and equity financings, joint venture agreements, and securities offerings. Scott represents numerous public companies, private equity funds and other private companies in a variety of industries, including automotive retail, distribution, logistics, technology, real estate investment trust, and healthcare. In the automotive retail industry, his representations have included the largest automotive retailers, private equity funds, private dealership groups owning multiple stores, and individual dealers in transactions involving over 300 dealerships.
