Adrian Smith primarily represents private equity and corporate clients in a range of complex transactions including leveraged buyouts, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, recapitalizations, equity, and debt financings (including mezzanine financing). He regularly advises corporate clients and private equity portfolio companies on governance and commercial matters. Adrian has experience working across a wide range of industries, including defense, health care, information technology, for-profit education, consumer products, waste management, hospitality services, food services, and solar energy, among others. Prior to joining Akerman, Adrian practiced with a New York law firm where he specialized in M&A, private equity, and debt-finance.
