Bio

Geir Johan Nilsen is one of the founders of Aabø-Evensen. He has worked with us since 2002. Geir leads the firm's work with legal disputes and arbitration, and regularly litigates before the courts, including special courts. He also works with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) within a broad spectrum and assists clients with other legal/commercial issues, as well as with regulatory issues. Geir has long and broad experience from most subject areas. Since 1997, he has mainly worked with business law, preferably with mergers and acquisitions, as well as commercial disputes and arbitration. He has a background from medium-sized law firms and from KPMG, where he was a partner. Geir Johan Nilsen has broad international experience. For many years, he has assisted Norwegian customers in connection with investments in renewable energy in Europe. He also assists international clients with their investments and/or legal relationships elsewhere in Norway. For several years he was engaged as Enron Corp's (bankruptcy estate's) legal advisor in connection with the bankruptcy estate's recovery of claims under financial and physical power contracts in the Nordic region.
