Matt Gilbert Bio

Matt Gilbert is an Executive Director at XMS Capital Partners, based in Boston, Massachusetts. Matt brings experience in M&A execution, strategic advisory, private capital raises, and public financings, with coverage focused on the life science tools / diagnostics and medical device industries. He began his career at Goldman Sachs & Co. in Chicago and joined XMS in 2016 before opening XMS’s Boston office in 2018. Matt has completed advisory assignments for a diverse range of clients, including Exact Sciences, BioLife Solutions, Philips, O’Neal Industries, and Federal-Mogul / Icahn Enterprises. His experience also includes work with a variety of innovative earlier-stage companies pursuing strategic transactions and other initiatives. Matt graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2013 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.
