Zi Wang, CPA, has more than 10 years of experience in public accounting and financial advisory. Based in Austin, TX, he works in Weaver’s Transaction Advisory Services, focusing on financial due diligence on buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions. Zi leads financial diligence engagements on transactions with valuations ranging from $10 million to multi-billion dollars on both buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, including leveraged buyouts, strategic mergers, cross-border transactions, carve-outs and large take-private deals. He is well versed in the technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) industry with a firm Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) knowledge base. Zi directs engagement teams, maintains communication with clients and monitors the quality of project deliverables and has experience in quality of earnings and net working capital analyses, including historical financial and operational trends, key performance indicators (KPIs), cash flows, and deal valuation and forecast models. Prior to joining Weaver, Zi worked at two Big Four firms as part of the M&A Transactions Services practice where he led financial diligence services engagements for many private equity investors and strategic corporate buyers. Zi is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA). He earned a master’s degree in professional accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.
