As Weaver’s chief operating officer, David Rook, CPA, collaborates with our CEO as well as advisory, audit, tax, growth, risk and operations leaders on all operational aspects of Weaver. David works with our partners and leaders to execute on the firm’s strategy and vision in an effort to be the best accounting and consulting firm in the country for our people and our clients. David previously served as the National Service Line Leader for Assurance and Advisory at Weaver. Before that, he was the Houston Audit Location Leader. David has more than 25 years of experience in public accounting with a practice focus on providing audit services for publicly and privately held companies operating in various segments of the energy and manufacturing industries. Additionally, he has experience with mergers, acquisitions and initial public offerings, including reverse mergers, as well as litigation support and dispute resolution, including expert witness testimony. David was appointed to the technical standards review and peer review committees of the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. He is an active local member to several professional and industry accounting organizations. David earned a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University.
