Christian Riener Bio

Christian Riener is Partner at VCP‘s Vienna office. He has more than 25 years experience in M&A, corporate finance and tax advisory in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe. Christian joined VCP in 2000, and since then he has successfully led a number of advisory mandates and investments, including VCP’s investments in BorsodChem and FHB Bank. Prior to joining VCP, he was manager in the financial services division of a big four accounting firm. Christian has a doctor’s degree from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and has completed study programmes in France. He is fluent in English, German and French, and has working knowledge of Russian. He is a certified tax expert and a member of the Austrian Chamber of Chartered Public Accountants and Tax Consultants.
