David Grove founded Vaquero Capital in 2011 to serve private Saas, Internet/mobile & data companies throughout their lifecycle has over 19 years experience advising companies on capital raising and mergers and acquisitions. His experience includes Internet, mobile, software, SaaS, semiconductors, energy, and IP. David has advised on over 30 transactions at Vaquero and over 85 transactions in his career. His clients have included Allegro, DrillingInfo, Dealer-FX, Irth Solutions, Kony, Manta Media, HomeAway, Alchemy Systems, Zillow, StreetEasy, Bazaarvoice, Dachis/Sprinklr, Brightcove, TechMediaNetwork, Motricity, ReachLocal, DTS, Monotype Imaging, Lexar Media, and DivX. He has worked on transactions with many leading investor partnerships, including Insight Venture Partners, Accel/KKR, Bain Capital, Benchmark Capital, Austin Ventures, TCV, Greycroft, ABS, Oak Investments and Redpoint Venture Partners. David was a Managing Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and has lead the Internet & Digital Media groups at multiple middle market firms. He began his investment banking career at Cowen & Co. and served as a corporate attorney in the Corporate Securities practice of Andrews & Kurth, LLP in Texas. He holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
