Dan is the Co-Founder and CEO of APx Capital. Dan is regarded as a top entrepreneur in the financial services, alternative assets, distress and real estate sectors in Mexico. He has extensive experience and track record from executing landmark transactions as well as from investing and creating investment platforms in US and Latin America with a combined AUM of over US$1.8bn. Mr. Braatz is also an active LP investor through different funds and companies, acting as member and LPAC. He currently acts as Co-Founder and Managing Partner of APx Acquisition Corp I, Sponsor and Co-Founder of Xinfra FE (Infrastructure MLP listed in the Mexican Stock Exchange), CEO of FHipo (first and only MREIT in Mexico), Yave (the largest non-bank digital mortgage lender in Mexico), VRE (a vertical residential developer) and leads APx’s structured credit and distressed asset strategies (ACCAP and FB). Dan is also a key investor in HiTo after implementing an aggressive leverage buyout that ultimately was repaid thanks to the company’s outperformance. Dan is a board member on different companies including Grupo Gigante, FHipo, CENCOR/BIVA, Yave, Infosel, VRE and ACCap; he also holds a position as an LPAC member of YaaX Capital and other funds in which he is an investor. Prior to APx, Dan Co-Founded VACE Partners an Investment Bank boutique in Mexico. He previously was an investment banker at Citigroup.
