Bill Lerner is co-Founder and Head of Investment Banking at Union Gaming, the leading boutique investment bank and advisory firm focused exclusively on the global gaming industry. Mr. Lerner has nearly 25 years of investment banking and equity research experience. Prior to co-founding Union Gaming, he was Managing Director and Senior Gaming & Lodging Analyst at Deutsche Bank Securities, opening its Las Vegas office, the first Wall Street analyst to be based in the market. Before joining Deutsche Bank, Mr. Lerner was Senior Gaming, Lodging & Leisure Analyst at Prudential Securities, which followed equity research and institutional sales roles at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell in its Latin American Equities group based in New York and Mexico City. For his gaming industry work, Mr. Lerner has been recognized by Institutional Investor as part of its “All American Research Team” and Wall Street Journal’s “Best of the Street.” Mr. Lerner holds an undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and an M.B.A. from Boston University. He was President of Syracuse Rugby. While at Boston University he authored a reference book on emerging stock markets published by Irwin Professional Publishing (which became part of McGraw Hill) and was its youngest business author at the time. Mr. Lerner was previously on the Board of Directors and a Finance Committee member of Nevada Cancer Institute. He is the Honorary Commander of Nevada Air National Guard’s 232nd Operating Squadron, a board member of the Nellis (Air Force Base) Support Team, and a founding board member and Treasurer of the National Guard’s Nevada Youth ChalleNGe Foundation.
