Chris Oliva has over 30 years of diverse accounting and tax experience for domestic and international companies. He provides tax planning and compliance services as well as income tax accounting assistance to private and public entities ranging from domestic start-ups to multi-billion dollar multi-national organizations. Chris has an extensive background in international taxation, having worked as an International Tax Director for a Fortune 500 company for 5 years. Chris has spent the majority of his career focusing on industries of manufacturing and distribution, cannabis, life sciences, retail (traditional and online) and private equity. He completes technical tax review, planning and compliance projects relating to both domestic and international tax, and he assists with ASC 740 and IAS 12 calculations for both public (annual and quarterly SEC filings) and private organizations, as well as specific issues arising with respect to valuation allowances, FIN 48, purchase accounting issues and interpretations of accounting pronouncements. Chris also supports tax due diligence, transfer pricing, international tax as well as state and local tax issues including nexus related assistance. Chris is a licensed CPA in the state of New York.
