Max Woolf is a Managing Director in the investment banking practice having been promoted to a Director in January 2019 after joining Tyton Partners in January 2016 as a Vice President. Before joining Tyton Partners, Max was a Principal Analyst at Eduventures, a Boston-based research firm supporting the higher education community, where he was responsible for the firm’s research on trends and innovations in online program management (OPM), retention strategies and solutions, public-private partnerships, innovative approaches to online learning, and technology vendor selection. Max advised several investors, education technology companies and post-secondary leaders on their strategic decisions related to technology adoption and implementation. Prior to working at Eduventures, Max was an Education Technology Partner at Good Harbor Partners, a boutique education and publishing M&A advisory and consulting firm, where he supported a number of education market transactions through sourcing, financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, deal structuring & negotiation, closing, and monitoring. He also previously served as an operator and the General Manager of The Daily Jolt, a network of 200 college community and news websites across the country. Max has authored dozens of reports and articles, and regularly speaks at industry events, on webinars, and with leading media outlets on topics related to the online education market, online program management (OPM) providers, post-secondary outsourcing strategy, and technology vendor selection. Max earned a B.A. from Amherst College graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Economics and Political Science.
