Bio

Jim is a Managing Director at the firm who joined in Fall 2019. He has built a successful 40-year career in Agribusiness lending, investing and advising. Jim has spent his entire career working with Agribusiness clients throughout the U.S. in diverse roles at commercial banks, insurance companies and US Farm Credit System. He has held leadership positions at specialty agriculture-focused units at Wells Fargo, US Bank, BMO Harris and Mutual of New York. Before commercial banking, Jim worked with insurance companies and other institutional investors advising on M&A, debt restructurings and private capital placements of debt and equity. Jim received a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from the University of Georgia. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Georgia Agribusiness Council and is a member of the Allied Leader of National Chicken Council. Also, he is the former President of the Georgia Chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers and was formerly a member of the Southeast Chapter President of IFAMA and Editorial Staff of AgriFinance magazine.
