Bio

Craig Gibson is a Managing Director of TM Capital LLC, head of the firm’s Consumer and Retail investment banking group and has led many of firm’s most notable assignments across the consumer landscape. Leveraging 25 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and public and private financings, Craig has realized extraordinary outcomes and record breaking valuations for clients ranging from high growth emerging brands to large multinational corporations. Within the consumer sector, Craig has a specialized focus on the food & beverage, health & wellness, and the gift & home décor sectors. At TM Capital, Craig has advised high profile brands including Tate’s Cookies, Hostess (NASDAQ: TWNK), Michel Design Works, Summer’s Eve, Mud Pie, Creative Coop, Bloomingville, Core Camping Equipment, Uncle Wally’s, Walpole Outdoors, Sullivans Brands, Superior on Main, OOFOS, Nectar Sleep, and Brownie Brittle, among many others. Craig’s consumer transaction expertise also extends to the brand and marketing services arena, where he has sold businesses such as Oliver, Centiv/ BrandMuscle and NPG. Craig is also a well-respected thought leader, spearheads TM Capital’s consumer research efforts and is often asked to speak on emerging brand trends, evolving consumer behavior and disruptive channel developments. Earlier in his career, Craig was a national winner of the M&A Advisor Top 40 Under 40 Dealmaker award. Prior to joining TM Capital, Craig was a Vice President and co-founder of Boston Corporate Finance, a middle-market investment banking firm. Craig began his career in the investment banking department of Advest, now Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he focused on both public and private transactions in the consumer sector. Craig graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Union College and received his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management where he was an Alfred Sloan Fellow. Craig lives on the south shore of Massachusetts with his wife and two children. Living on the ocean in a small coastal community provides many outlets for his long list of outdoor pursuits. When not chasing the next deal or the next wave, he also enjoys working with growing brands and has participated in MIT’s Entrepreneur Forum, acted as a MIT leadership mentor, and served on the Board of Advisors for Likeable Media.
