Mark Vidergauz is the Founder of The Sage Group and has been its CEO and a Managing Director since 2000. Under Mark’s leadership, the firm has significantly expanded through its sector coverage and geographically. Today the firm serves clients, including financial sponsors, globally out of its offices in Los Angeles and New York across a number of industries including: apparel & accessories, footwear, beauty & personal care, digitally native brands & e-commerce, health & wellness, specialty retail, and food & beverage. Mark has advised a long list of private and public companies representing some of the most iconic brands, both nationally and globally. Over the past 30 years, Mark has advised on hundreds of transactions and billions of dollars in value, including mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations and restructurings, and financings. Prior to founding The Sage Group, Mark was a Managing Director at ING Barings, where he headed West Coast investment banking. A member of the State Bar of California and the American Bar Association, he practiced law at O’Melveny & Myers. The Los Angeles Business Journal has recognized Mark Vidergauz in the “LA 500: Most Influential People in Los Angeles.” Mark serves on the Board of Monster Beverage Corporation, where he is currently the lead independent director. He also serves on the Board of Governors of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and was awarded an honorary fellowship by the University. Mark received his B.A. and L.L.B. degrees from the University of Witwaterstrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, and his L.L.M. from the London School of Economics.
