Bio

Marissa Lepor is a Director at The Sage Group, having joined in 2016. Marissa plays a key role in the firm’s apparel & accessories, branded beauty & personal care, and e-commerce practices. Some of Marissa’s past transactions include the sales of ORIBE, Rag & Bone, Frankies Bikinis, Henry Rose, Jaxxon, GLD, Pura Vida, Blenders Eyewear, Mackage, BH Cosmetics, Vita Liberata, and Paul Frank. Marissa also leads the firm’s intern recruiting and training programs. Marissa continues to be very engaged in the broader finance community, both internationally and locally. She is an active member of the Milken Institute’s Young Leaders’ Circle and LACMA’s Future Arts Collective. She is a Board Member of fashion lifestyle brand Simon Miller, a Board Member of non-profit dance company Jacob Jonas the Company, Western Region Board & Board of Directors member of American Friends of The Hebrew University, and a 3G Board Member at the Holocaust Museum Los Angeles. Marissa also co-founded LAdies in Finance, a leadership group of 400+ women working in principal investing and financial services roles throughout Los Angeles. The LA Times named Marissa a Visionary in Banking & Finance and a Visionary in Beauty & Fashion in 2024 and was honored by the LA Times’ Inspirational Women Leadership Awards in 2023. The Los Angeles Business Journal recognized Marissa as a Woman of Influence in Finance in 2023, a NextGen Woman of the Year in 2021, and a Rising Star as part of their Women’s Leadership Awards in 2020. She was also honored by ORLY Beauty as part of their Women’s History Month initiative in 2019 and named one of the Jewish Journal’s 30 Under 30 remarkable young people changing the LA Jewish community in 2017. Marissa graduated cum laude from Columbia University with a B.A. in Economics from Columbia College and a Special Concentration in Business Management from Columbia Business School.
