Tim has over 30 years of transactional experience in mergers and acquisitions, general corporate finance, management buy-outs and leveraged acquisition transactions, nearly all of which has been in the construction materials industry. Prior to founding Greystone Group in 1996, he served as managing director of a San Francisco-based investment bank. During the last 30 years, he has managed over 75 construction materials related transactions valued at over $10 billion. Considered a key participant in the consolidation of the U.S. construction materials industry, he has represented the largest global construction materials producers including Vulcan Materials Company, Lafarge-Holcim, Cemex, Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua, S.A., Plum Creek Timber, Boral Industries, Knife River Corp., Natural Resource Partners and Taiheiyo Cement Corp., along with many other privately owned companies in both buy-side and sell-side transactions. Tim has served on numerous boards and currently serves on the board of the American Junior Golf Association and the Legacy Foundation. Tim is a graduate of Luther College, where he served 12 years on its Board of Regents and is now Regent Emeriti. In his free time, Tim enjoys golf, cycling, and spending time with his wife and two children.
