Derek Zacarias supports DAK’s clients in their pursuit of maximizing shareholder value across a range of strategic alternatives, including M&A and Capital Advisory Services. As a Director of the firm, he works closely with business owners to bring them the benefit of his deep financial acumen and comprehensive industry knowledge to ensure clients maximize the value of the businesses they have spent so much time building. Mr. Zacarias brings over a decade of experience in investment banking across a wide array of industries. Prior to joining The DAK Group, Mr. Zacarias was as a Director with Perella Weinberg Partners (PWP), a diversified Boutique Investment Bank, in both their New York and Chicago offices. During his tenure at PWP, Mr. Zacarias worked on wide range of M&A, capital structure advisory, and strategic advisory transactions representing value in excess of $10 billion. He was most recently a member of the Global Industrials team with broad responsibilities covering the Automotive sector. And previously, he was a member of the TMT team with a particular emphasis on Media & Telecom for PWP. Mr. Zacarias holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and International Business from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
