Diane L. Selph is a Managing Director at The Chicago Corporation. Diane has more than 35 years experience in investment banking with a concentration in mergers & acquisitions for family owned businesses, middle market companies, financial sponsors and private equity firms. Throughout her career, she successfully advised both public and private companies in a variety of industries, including food & consumer, diversified industrials, manufacturing & distribution, healthcare and business services. Prior to reestablishing The Chicago Corporation, Diane was a Director in BMO Capital Markets where she spent 15 years in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group marketing, originating and executing buy and sell-side mergers & acquisitions, financial advisory, valuations, tender offers and private debt and equity transactions, and the Financial Sponsors Group marketing investment banking products to financial sponsors and private equity firms. Prior to BMO, Diane was with The First National Bank of Chicago where she managed bank relationships, structured senior credit facilities and marketed capital markets products to companies as part of the National Corporate Banking Group. Formerly, Diane was in the Partnership Services Group at Marriott Corporation managing hotel partnerships, including all financial and investor relations matters. Diane is a CPA and began her career at KPMG Peat Marwick providing audit services. She has also received the Certified Financial Analyst designation. Diane has an MBA from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and has a BS in Accounting from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce.
