Mr. Hawkins is a Managing Director focused on the firm’s Relationship Management and Financial Sponsor coverage effort. Mr. Hawkins also provides capital raising, strategic advisory, and mergers & acquisitions advice to a wide spectrum of real estate owners, operators, fund managers and REITs. Hawkins brings over 25 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, capital markets and strategic consulting. Hawkins has worked on transactions totaling over $8 billion of capital on behalf of his clients. Prior to joining The CenterCap Group, Hawkins was in the M&A and Corporate Advisory group at JLL. Before JLL, Hawkins provided capital markets services through his own company (CEL Capital Advisors) and was a partner at a fund manager/private equity firm. Before entering real estate capital markets, Hawkins worked in investment banking at Merrill Lynch & Co. and in mergers and acquisitions at Deutsche Bank Securities. Hawkins holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BS in Engineering from Cal-Poly, San Luis Obispo. He holds Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 licenses.
