Prior to forming TAP, Mr. Tabet1,2 was Vice Chairman of Technology, Media, and Telecom Banking at UBS Investment Bank, based in New York. Mr. Tabet also acted as Joint Global Head of the UBS Telecommunications Group starting in 2006. Mr. Tabet began his career at the Republic New York Corporation, where he worked as the Assistant Treasurer until 1989. He joined Dillon Read in 1989 as an Investment Banking Associate. During his career, Mr. Tabet had senior client responsibility for a number of major corporations including AT&T, Qwest, Sprint and Verizon. He has played a key role in a number of transactions including the $70 billion formation of Verizon Wireless with Vodafone AirTouch, the formation of Sprint PCS, the $13 billion Debt Exchange offer by Qwest, the $1.2 billion IPO of Infonet, followed by its sale to BT, and the $43 million IPO of Activision. Mr. Tabet is fluent in both French and Arabic, and speaks conversational Spanish. He graduated summa cum laude and phi beta kappa from Georgetown University in 1983 with a degree in Economics and received an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1987. Mr. Tabet is on the Board of Directors of Citco and Action Against Hunger USA.
