Gary Wang Bio

Gary Wang is the head of Tangent’s China Desk and the co-founder and Managing Partner of Jade Capital Management, a principal investment company with strong focus on China. Mr. Wang was one of the founding members of China Rapid Finance, a Chinese financial technology company listed on NYSE in 2017. He was also one of the founding members of Quanta Capital, a Bermuda based insurance and reinsurance company listed on NASDAQ in 2004. Mr. Wang was formerly the head of Credit Derivatives of Barclays Capital Asia. He started his career as a quantitative analyst at Wells Fargo Bank and subsequently an options trader of Barclays Capital in New York. He has a BSc in Physics from Peking University and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, San Diego.
