Margus was previously an Associate Director of SEB Enskilda which he joined in 2006. Prior to joining SEB Enskilda, Margus was a Senior Audit Consultant at Deloitte & Touche. Margus has over 14 years of experience advising M&A and ECM transactions in the Baltic states with special focus on quantitative analysis and equity valuation. Some of Margus’ M&A transactions include advising Baltcap and the management team on the sale of auto24, advising the shareholders of Utilitas on the sale of 85% in the company to First State Investments, Vardar on the sale of Baltic's largest wind energy producer Nelja Energia, Eurovia on the acquisition of road construction company Trev-2, Baltcap on the sale of Magnetic MRO, Providence Equity Partners on the aquisition of MTG's Baltic operations, BillerudKorsnäs on the sale of Latgran, BaltCap on the sale Tuuleenergia and Energate, Veolia on the sale of its waste collection operations in Estonia and Lithuania, Dalkia on the sale of Tallinna Elektrijaam biomass CHP, Utilitas on the acquisition of district heating operations of Tallinna Küte and Eraküte, Carlsberg on the acquisition of minority shareholding in Saku Brewery and subsequent delisting of the company, PKL Holding and Amber Trust on the sale of PKL towage operations, management on the sale of its majority holding in metal roofing production company Toode, and the sale of Põlva Agro. Margus’ ECM experience includes IPO of Port of Tallinn and Estonian leading real estate company Arco Vara. Some of Margus’ consulting experience includes advising Estonian Wind Association on the study of renewable energy tariffs in Estonia and Fazer Group on the feasibility study of potential acquisition targets in the Baltic confectionery industry. Margus has extensive valuation experience including advising TeliaSonera as an independent expert in court proceeding on the squeeze-out valuation of Eesti Telekom. Margus holds an MSc in Finance and Management from Cranfield University in the UK. Margus is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
