Alistair has been with Strata since early 2008 and focuses on all aspects of public and private M&A. During this time Alistair has worked on buyside and sellside M&A including transactions in healthcare software, fin-tech, business software and clean technologies. On the buyside, Alistair has worked on long-term engagements with mid-sized and multinational corporations seeking to grow through domestic and cross border acquisitions. In particular, over a five year engagement, Alistair advised UK based healthcare software provider Allocate Software plc (AIM:ALL) on six successful acquisitions across Australia, Sweden and the UK. In Q1-2016 Alistair has advised Holvi, the Helsinki-based online business banking provider, on the sale of the company to Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, S.A. (“BBVA”, BME:BBVA), the global banking group. In Q2-2016 Alistair advised Future Thinking, the UK based insight and analytics consultancy, on (1) the acquisition of GemSeek, the Bulgarian data analytics company and (2) the associated £13 million debt capital raise.
