Mathieu L’Allier Bio

Mathieu L. L'Allier joined Stifel Canada in 2020 as Vice Chairman and Head of Investment Banking in Eastern Canada. He is an experienced strategic and financial advisor, having advised on transactions with an aggregate value of $125 billion in M&A and $50 billion in financing, including $5 billion in IPOs. Prior to Stifel, he founded Mission Capital, a boutique investment bank focused on financing and merger & acquisitions advisory. Mathieu also worked 17 years at BMO Capital Markets including as Managing Director and Head of Investment & Corporate Banking, Quebec. He holds an engineering degree and a MBA from McGill, where he earned the Canadian government scholarship, studied international business at Solvay Brussels School of Management in Belgium, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He also sits on the board of directors of the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation, where he acts as President of its Investment Committee.
