Jim Briggs joined Statesman in 2016 as Director of Mergers & Acquisitions. He has 15 years of middle-market M&A experience, including 11 years as co-founder of Freestone Partners, LLC, a Houston-based private equity investment partnership. He has participated in a range of private company transactions as a principal and as advisor, and has served as a board member of several middle-market companies. Jim also has 15 years of operations experience in energy, manufacturing and distribution companies in the U.S. and abroad, with international experience in Europe, Africa, Middle East, and Russia. He holds a BS degree in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He holds the Investment Banking Representative (Series 79) and Uniform Securities Agent (Series 63) licenses from FINRA and the SEC.
