Matthew J. Arden is a Vice President with SSG Capital Advisors. He is responsible for creating valuation models, performing financial analyses in support of capital structure strategy, conducting market and buyer research and preparing transaction memoranda and progress reports. He works closely with SSG senior bankers advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, private placements, financial restructurings and valuation engagements. He is skilled at balancing the complexities of sophisticated transactions, managing competing priorities, ensuring all deadlines are met, and bringing a unique perspective to each transaction. Prior to joining SSG, he served as a Senior Associate with Graham Partners Operating Company, the operations group of Graham Partners Inc., where he was responsible for portfolio company management, supporting post-acquisition strategic initiatives and divestitures and fund valuations. Matt also worked at PNC Business Credit, performing collateral field examinations with existing and prospective asset-based lending clients. The skills gained through his diverse background enable him to bring insightful analysis to each engagement he is involved in. Matt is currently a board member for the Philadelphia / Wilmington chapter of the Turnaround Management Association and previously served as the Chairperson of the TMA Philadelphia / Wilmington NextGen Committee.
