Chris Tonkin joined Sprott’s Investment banking team in 2021, having previously spent time as a Research Associate at the firm. Mr. Tonkin previously worked as a deal originator for an African debt fund and successfully deployed capital into gold, tin, bauxite, iron ore and zinc mining projects across the continent. He has also previously held the position of Vice President of Corporate Development & Investor Relations at Calibre Mining and spent time at Gold Fields’ South Deep mine and Glencore’s Katanga operations. Mr. Tonkin is a qualified mining engineer and has completed his CFA examinations.
