As a Director at Spectrum James focuses on all aspects of project delivery as well as developing his relationships across the South-East corporate, private equity and M&A community. Prior to joining the team he spent the last seven years working in Grant Thornton's corporate finance team and a corporate finance boutique. During this time he worked with a number of mid-market entrepreneurial businesses, their owners and management teams, at various stages of the business lifecycle to help fulfil their ambitions. This includes three years of transaction services experience gained in the early part of his career in corporate finance, which involved the execution of financial due diligence engagements for various mid-market private equity, bank and acquisitive corporate funded transactions both domestically and internationally. His lead advisory experience includes acquisitions, disposals, fundraisings and strategic advice. A selection of his lead advisory transactions include the MBI of Redeem, disposal of Basildon Chemicals, Selection Services acquisition of 8el, Maindec's acquisition of CSA Waverley, accelerated disposal of a motor dealership, ByBox's acquisition of the Business Direct operations of DX Network Services Ltd and the refinancing of both Geos Group and an IT services company.
