As a Managing Director at Spectrum, Clive brings his in depth commercial experience to bear on mandates, ensuring that companies are presented to market at the right time, and in the best way. Clive qualified with Ernst & Young in 1989 and joined the newly formed Corporate Finance team in the Southampton office at this time. In 1997 he founded DHD Corporate Finance with Simon Davies and Harry Dhand from offices in Southampton. The business grew rapidly and established a second office in Reading in 1999 before being sold in 2001 to Tenon Group plc. Clive left Tenon Group in 2004 to join the Land of Leather management buy-out back by US Private Equity firm SB Capital. As CFO he led the business through growth from £100m turnover to £240m turnover in four years and floated the company on the Full List in 2005. He subsequently joined Allied Carpets in 2009 as acting CFO to see the newly restructured business through its first-year post acquisition by its new private equity owners, Hilco UK.
