Philippe Leopold is a Partner in the business, having joined in 2019. He holds a Master in Management (major in Finance) from the EDHEC business school, France. Philippe has more than 20 years’ M&A experience with corporates, entrepreneurial families and private equity houses across the consumer sector including the €4.5bn acquisition of ekaterra by CVC, the €1.4bn acquisition of Cooper by CVC, the disposal of Boulangeries Louise to Teract, the €1.4bn disposal of Naturex to Givaudan, the €400m acquisition of Campbell’s Soup operations in Europe by CVC, the €200m disposal of Montblanc Materne to LBO France and the creation of Aryzta. Philippe was previously in charge of the Messier Maris & Associés consumer practice and co-ran Citi’s Consumer Retail team in EMEA. Prior to joining Citi, Philippe worked for the consumer teams of BNP Paribas (Paris), Lehman Brothers (London) and Rothschild (London and Paris). He started his career in the Corporate Restructuring team of Arthur Andersen (Paris).
