Richard Banham Bio

Richard’s main focus at Smith Square Partners is on its new business origination effort in the private equity and private company arenas. He is a highly proficient corporate financier with over twenty years’ experience, both as an adviser to public and private companies, and also as a principal working on the buyside. Prior to joining Smith Square Partners, Richard worked in private equity transacting on both good book and distressed situations across a range of sectors and in M&A advisory. His broad transaction experience positions him well to advise both management and owners of businesses on their strategic options across a wide range of corporate transaction scenarios. Richard qualified as a chartered accountant at Deloitte and subsequently worked at Bridgewell and KBC Peel Hunt. He graduated with a degree in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Warwick.
