Douglas has significant experience advising corporates, shareholders and investors on a diverse range of assignments including public offers, private acquisitions and disposals, carve outs and fundraisings. He has been a notable part of the success of Smith Square Partners, becoming a partner in 2020. He has deep transactional experience in various sectors of the economy including business services, financial services and healthcare. Many of the transactions Douglas has been involved in have been cross-border and he has particular responsibility for Smith Square Partners’ relationships with its international network of partner firms, Advior International. Before joining Smith Square Partners, Douglas was a member of the Corporate Finance team at KPMG LLP where he advised corporate and private equity clients on mid-market transactions. He started his career advising institutional investors within KPMG’s Investment Advisory team where he qualified as a CFA charterholder.
