Tim began his career in financial markets on the Stock Exchange floor in 1986. He became one of the founding shareholders of Peel Hunt in 1989 and was a Main Board Director when they floated the business in 2000. The business was later sold to KBC and Tim went on to become Chief Executive in 2004. In 2006 Tim left Peel Hunt, founded Singer Capital Markets and served as CEO until 2022 before becoming Executive Chair. Tim’s driving ambition is for Singer Capital Markets to be at the forefront of UK plc, providing equity for the growth of the UK small and mid-cap sector. As well as his experience in financial markets, Tim is a sports enthusiast and served as the Chairman of The Queen’s Club from 2014 – 2018 and has been on the R&A’s Open Championship Committee from 2019. He is married with three daughters and is passionate about the role sport plays in health, in particularly the development of women within sports. Tim is heavily involved in Singer Capital Markets’ partnership of Chelsea FC Women where the firm has been the official partner of the women’s team since 2021 and our internal charity fund, Singer Social Impact.
