Gordon joined Sigrun Africa as Managing Director in 2016. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2016, he was Executive Director of Business Development at the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO Plc) and rose to become the first Managing Director of NAHCO FTZ Limited, NAHCO’s free zone subsidiary. From 2005 to 2011, he resumed his career in the banking sector where he rose through the ranks to become Head of Wholesale Banking at United Bank for Africa. Before that, from 2003 to 2005 he was Deputy Director of the Bureau of Public Enterprises to coordinate the reforms and privatisation process of Nigeria’s oil and gas industry. During his service in the public sector, he was also a member of the Technical Board of the Port Harcourt Refining Company Plc, an alternate member of the Board of the National Hospital, Abuja and the Nigerian Reinsurance Company. He was also a member of several reform committees in the oil and gas industry. He started his career at the Nigerian American Merchant Bank (a subsidiary of the Bank of Boston) in 1990. Subsequently, he joined FSB International Bank (now known as Fidelity Bank) as Regional Manager in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, covering the oil and gas sector. Gordon has attended various executive programs at Wharton Business School, MIT Sloan, Oxford, Princeton, Moody’s Analytics and the World Bank. He is a member of the Wharton Club of Africa and the Institute of Directors of Nigeria. He holds a BA in Accounting from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and an MBA from IESE Business School.
