Neil’s experience includes over 20 years in mergers and acquisitions, startups, executive management, and management consulting. In his early career, Neil was a management consultant where he focused on developing strategic recommendations for numerous clients in the biotech, medical device, and material technology industries. Subsequently, Neil managed a manufacturing portfolio company of Jefferies Capital Partners where he led the company’s swift turnaround and acquired a division which led to co-founding his next venture, a manufacturing design and outsourcing firm. During his ownership, Neil acquired two strategic companies and led the sale of the company. More recently, Neil co-founded an online education company and then served as the CEO of a venture-backed DNA sequencing startup, both companies were acquired. Neil has been an investment banker and M&A advisor (sometimes part-time) for the past 11 years. He regularly gives speeches and presentations to CEO and industry groups nationwide and is regularly quoted in Inc, Entrepreneur, Businessweek, Forbes and the Silicon Valley Business Journal regarding M&A and increasing private company value. He also teaches a course at Stanford on mergers and acquisitions strategies and mentors startups in accelerating growth and exiting. Neil has been named a top 40 Under 40 by The M&A Advisor. Neil has a B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego and has lived in Japan and conducted extensive business in India, China and Latin America. Neil is a member of the Rotary Club of Menlo Park, ProVisors, and the Band of Angels.
