Bio

Tim Malott joined Shoreline Partners in 1994; he is currently Managing Partner of the firm and serves as President and CEO of Shoreline's broker-dealer affiliate, ShorelineAmbrose Advisors, LLC. Since joining the firm, Malott has led numerous sale, merger, acquisition and financing assignments across a wide array of industries. A former CPA, he holds four securities licenses: Series 24 (Principal), 79 (Investment Banking), 62 (Corporate Securities) and 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law). His career spans public accounting, commercial banking and investment banking through which he has gained knowledge and experience in nearly every industry and business sector. Malott graduated from Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Indiana, with a BS degree in Business Administration. After spending five years with Crowe, Chizek & Co, a major, Midwest-based CPA firm, he was hired as President, CEO and Director of a troubled bank in Northwest Indiana. After returning the bank to profitability and successfully selling the bank, Malott relocated to San Diego, joining Bank of Commerce as Executive VP, CFO and Director. At Bank of Commerce, Malott started one of the first self-directed IRA programs in the U.S., managed two successful public stock offerings, and participated in the growth of the bank which became the largest bank SBA lender in the Nation. Mr. Malott has been active throughout his career in many nonprofit and philanthropic organizations. He was a founder of and previously served as Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego. He previously served as President of the San Diego Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and was a founder of the Del Mar Powerhouse Baseball Club, a competitive baseball program for ages 6–13, where he served as President for eight years.
