Love Mital is the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Global Banking and Markets and Group Treasury at Scotiabank. Love assumed this leadership role in 2019, responsible for financial strategy and planning and analysis in support of business strategies, plans and initiatives in compliance with regulations, internal policies, and procedures. Love is an accomplished Finance professional with over 20 years of experience at Scotiabank. He joined the Finance team at Scotiabank in 1997 as a Senior Manager and has held progressively more senior positions including Vice President, Accounting Policies and Procedures, Vice President, Comptroller for Global Banking and Markets and as Vice President, Global Financial Planning and Analysis. Prior to joining Scotiabank, Love worked at Ernst & Young. Love holds an Honours Business Administration degree from the University of Western Ontario. In addition, he received both a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
