Brian was appointed U.S. Co-CEO at Scotiabank on January 2, 2025. In his role, Brian is responsible for scaling our U.S. platform as we deliver for our clients and continue to keep our Bank safe. Prior to joining Scotiabank, Brian served as the Chief Financial Officer at Generate Capital and has spent over two decades on global investment banking platforms, acting as an advisor, underwriter, principal, and agent for private and public corporations in over $100 billion USD in debt, equity and structured transactions. Previously, Brian established and led JP Morgan’s Green Economy banking franchise. Prior to that, he formed and ran JP Morgan’s Diversified Financials group. Before JP Morgan, Brian was Co-Head of Morgan Stanley’s Equity Linked Capital Markets group. Earlier in his career, he held positions at both Bank of America Merrill Lynch and UBS.
