Walter is responsible for the regional management of Scotiabank’s operations in Asia Pacific. Walter joined Scotiabank in 1998 and has progressed through various positions in finance and corporate development. Most recently, Walter was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Global Banking and Markets, Asia Pacific. In 2014, he assumed the position of Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Development, Asia Pacific, located in Hong Kong. Walter holds a Master of Arts degree in Economics and Business Administration from Vrije Universiteit, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics from Hogeschool voor Economische Studies in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
