Bio

Bruce Urbanek is a managing director in the Piper Sandler financial services investment banking group. Over the course of his career, Urbanek has advised on a wide variety of M&A and capital-raising transactions for clients in the payments, financial processing, lending and capital markets sectors. He joined Piper Sandler in October of 2017. Prior to joining Piper Sandler, Urbanek was a director and co-founder of the financial technology practice area at Houlihan Lokey. Previously, Urbanek was a vice president in the financial institutions group at Goldman Sachs, where he was also a financial technology specialist. He began his career with Citigroup Global Markets (and predecessor firms) where he held positions of increasing seniority in the financial institutions and technology groups. Urbanek received a bachelor’s degree in finance and entrepreneurship/small business management from Florida State University.
