Nolan Smith, CFA is a Managing Director in the Corporate Finance group of SAMCO Capital Markets. His specialization is in the areas of corporate funding and mergers and acquisition. Nolan has extensive experience in the middle market and has completed numerous transactions in manufacturing, oil service and technology industries. In the investment business since 1987, Nolan has worked as a securities analyst and portfolio manager with Bank of Oklahoma Securities Corporation and AEGON. He earned a BA in English from Eastern Illinois University, and a MS in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After graduate school, Nolan was a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy assigned to the USS Trenton (LPD-14). Nolan is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority General Securities Representative (Series 7), Uniform Securities Agent State Law (Series 63) and Investment Banking Representative (Series 79) licenses. Mr. Smith is active in the San Antonio community as an Officer in the Civil Air Patrol and a member of Team Red, White & Blue.
