Bio

Bob has over 30 years of investment banking experience, specializing in mergers and acquisitions and capital raising on behalf of clients in a variety of industries, including forest products, packaging, transportation, real estate, basic, consumer, service and leisure companies. He has completed projects of all sorts and sizes, ranging from traditional buy and sell assignments, to hostile and defense transactions, to reorganizations; and assignments ranging in size from $5 million to $3.7 billion. Bob began his investment banking career with, and became a Managing Director in, J.P. Morgan’s M&A group where, in addition, he helped establish the firm’s M&A presence in Tokyo. Bob currently serves on the Boards of Sypris Solutions, Inc., Stampede Meats, Inc., Pet Partners, LLC, and SafeRack, LLC, and previously was non-executive Chairman of the Board of Avado Brands, Inc. He has been a principal and Director of two Special Purpose Acquisition Company (“SPAC”) transactions. Prior to his banking career, Bob served as General Manager at Geon Intercontinental Corporation, an importer and distributor of parts for foreign cars, running the headquarters and all distribution centers. When Geon was sold, he started a successor parts importer and distributor for its principals, Interco Parts Corporation. Before becoming a Partner of Rockland Advisory Group in 2010, Bob was a Managing Director of Corporate Solutions Group, a boutique investment bank providing mergers and acquisitions, ESOP, and capital advisory services to middle-market clients. Before that, he founded and was Managing Partner of Lighthouse Partners, a boutique mergers and acquisitions advisory firm. Bob received a B.A. in History (cum laude) from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and both an M.A. in Latin American History (with honors) and M.B.A. (with distinction) from New York University.
