As a Director at RKCA, Don focuses his efforts on successfully strategizing and executing transactions for middle-market clients. For more than 40 years, Don has advised clients on capital market transactions, acquisition structure, financing and growth engagements, mezzanine lending, valuations, and negotiations support. Don’s extensive experience in transaction advisory and dealmaking was recognized by the Association for Corporate Growth (Cincinnati), which awarded Don with the Deal Maker Lifetime Achievement Award, its highest honor. Don has been instrumental in guiding RKCA to its current position as a leading, independently-held investment bank serving the lower middle-market. In the course of his 40 years in business, Don has had a leadership role in starting 20 organizations and turning around/growing another 20, primarily by focusing attention on purpose and priorities, including process and people. This work has involved companies of all sizes, from Fortune 500 companies to small, founder-owned businesses. Don’s civic involvement has seen him serving as a leader for many community organizations, including DePaul Cristo Rey, the Union Institute, and the Association for Corporate Growth. Don received his MBA from Xavier University, his JD from Northern Kentucky University, and his BA from the University of Notre Dame.
