Sandy rejoined Rice, Voelker in 2015 after 10 years on the buy side, where he was a principal at Water Street Capital, Elm Ridge Management and a Co-Founder and Managing Principal of West Road Capital. Prior to joining Rice, Voelker in 2000, he served in the institutional equity divisions at Jefferies & Co., Rauscher Pierce Refsnes and Johnson Rice, and previous to that, started his career as an analyst and associate in investment banking in New York. He earned an BA in Economics and English from The University of Texas at Austin, and an MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management.
