David Hiley is a Partner with Renaissance Strategic Advisors based in the London office. David’s sixteen years in defence advisory have been built around the analysis and forecasting of defence technology development and procurement. He has led hundreds of consulting engagements covering all defence market segments, recipient markets and means of engagement. He has led hundreds of consulting engagements covering all defence market segments, recipient markets and means of engagement David combines a deep defence equipment knowledge with a technical and contextualised understanding of conflict and international relations in order to provide actionable insights and advisory for a broad constituency of clients. David supports global defence industry participants across the value chain, government customers and the financial services community. David assists clients across Europe, Scandinavia, Japan, Australia, South Korea, India and other major international defence markets and leads the work for these clients focusing on domestic market growth strategies, export strategy, market entry, international collaboration, and technology road mapping. Prior to joining RSAdvisors, David spent five years as an Associate Consultant with Jane’s Strategic Advisory Services and held several other positions within Jane’s Information Group where he participated in the initial creation of Jane’s Defence Procurement product suite and advised on group strategy. David completed a Master’s Degree in War Studies at King’s College London focusing upon operational analysis, the simulation of war and the conduct of contemporary warfare and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Politics from the University of Warwick.
