David Black joined Renaissance Strategic Advisors in 2011 and brings 15 years of experience in Aerospace and Defence. A Partner with the firm’s London office, David leads corporate strategy and M&A due diligence engagements for clients globally, covering a wide variety of strategic issues facing the A&D industry, including market investment and capture, portfolio restructuring, regulatory practices, industry due diligence and M&A. David works closely with clients from across industry (both strategic and financial-sponsored owned) in the formulation of strategies to expand into new markets, covering identification of opportunity, how to position with regard to offset environments, and the targeting of potential acquisition and partnership targets. He also leads the firm’s training, simulation and sustainment/MRO market insight practice. Prior to Renaissance, David was with Jane’s Strategic Advisory Services (JSAS) where he specialized in international market entry and positioning across defence segments. He previously worked with the Pearson Peacekeeping Training Centre in Canada and the Centre for International Governance Innovation and holds a Master of Letters (MLitt) in Strategic Studies from the University of Aberdeen in the United Kingdom.
