Trevor Gardner Bio

Trevor Gardner is Head of Global Investment Banking Coverage and is a member of the Capital Markets Operating Committee. He has 25 years of capital markets experience with RBC, including roles in Toronto and Calgary in Investment Banking and Equity Capital Markets. Before taking on his current role he was Co-Head of Canadian Energy Investment Banking between 2014 and 2019. He is an executive member of RBC Capital Markets Canadian Diversity Leadership Council. Trevor has significant experience working with directly with clients on a broad range of transactions, including mergers & acquisitions and debt and equity financing. In his current role he is actively engaged in senior client coverage and providing advice to clients across industries. Trevor has been deeply involved in several community initiatives, including Chair of the Board of Directors for YMCA Calgary and serving as a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council for the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. He has also been active in coaching youth hockey and baseball. In 2020, Trevor served as Co-Chair of RBC’s national employee giving campaign. Originally from Saskatchewan, Trevor graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University with Honours, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
